Word for the Day November 20
By: Evang. Cascille Hammack
"My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that
they may dwell with Me; he whose walk is blameless will minister to Me." Psalm 101:6
God allows us to minister to Him when our walk is blameless. Faith is more than believing it is doing. If we truly believe
then we will live a life of repentance and service to God. We will serve Him and the purpose of
our living will be to bring Him glory. His eyes will be on everything we do and we will dwell with Him. A
true believer does not just believe John 3:16, but walks blamelessly before God, living their lives to serve Him alone.
This requires being set apart from the world with which comes persecution. Many people and even churches look very much
like the world in how they behave. But God is not in this. His righteous decress have not changed and
it is evident to all when Jesus is truly Lord of someone's life or Lord of a ministry. In brokenness before God, His
power is poured out and manifested in those who will die for Him so that they can have the only true life which is His life. Jesus'
life will be lived by the power of the Holy Spirit in the believer who has truly laid his own life down and died to himself.
Jesus said in John 11:25, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live, even though
he dies; and whoever lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?" And He gave this
example when He predicted His death and resurrection in John 12:24-26, "I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of
wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.
The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
Whoever serves Me must follow Me; and where I am, My servant will also be. My Father will honor
the one who serves Me."
