Word for the Day May 25

"In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now He commands
all people everywhere to repent." Acts 17:30
Without repentance no one will
come to know the Lord. Today I see many who seek the Lord without repentance. Many leaders will not teach repentance
because they are afraid it will drive people away. They are building their own kingdoms in their own way instead of
building God's kingdom, and only God's kingdom will stand. The true children of the Lord are hungry for the truth
and will seek it out. Jesus said in John 10:27 , "My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me.
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of My hand." When the Words of
the Lord are spoken, the true children of God will obey Him. They will hear His voice. Without repentance and
holiness there will be no revival or visitation of the Holy Spirit. Many are seeking this without repentance and holiness
and it will not happen. Hebrews 12:14 says clearly, "...without holiness no one will see the Lord."
First repent completely of the sin in your life, accept the blood of Jesus that was poured out for you. Let the Holy
Spirit do His sanctifying work and then you will experience revival and a true visitation from the Lord. 1 Peter 1:2
says, "Who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit,
for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by His blood." Sanctification (Greek-hagiasmos) means to make holy,
to consecrate, to separate from the world and to be set apart from sin so we may have fellowship with God and serve Him completely.
Anyone who preaches and teaches anything else proves by the fruit of his mouth what is truly in His heart. There
will be no revival or vistitation from the Lord without repentance and holiness. 1 Cor. 6:15 declares clearly, "Do
you not know that your bodies are members of Christ Himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them
with a prostitute? Never!" The true children of God will hear the Truth and obey it, to repent from sin and
be holy. They will experience a true visitation from God and they will know Him in His power. 1
Cor. 4:20, "For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power." Some leaders are teaching
people they can experience His power without turning from sin, truly repenting and living holy. This is impossible.
God can not look upon sin. When true repentance happens, He sends His Holy Spirit to sanctify the believer.
1 John 3:6 clearly states, "No one who lives in Him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either
seen Him or known Him."
