Word for the Day May 30
By:  Evang. Cascille Hammack

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."  2 Cor. 1:3-4

The anointing is not given without a high price.  We must suffer in our bodies as Christ did if we are also to experience His resurrection power.  To be a vessel of the Lord, one must be broken in order to be poured out to others.  You can not  be used of God until you have undergone this breaking again and again.  There are too many "Christian celebrities" arising that people are exalting instead of exalting Jesus.  This is the way of the world and God is not in it.  It is idolatry.  If we are to reign with Him, we must die with Him.  This is why Paul said he died daily.  1 Peter 4:1,2 declares plainly, "Therefore, since Christ suffered in His body, arm yourselves with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin.  As a result, he does not live the rest of his life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God."
Before you can ever be used of God, you must be broken completely.  You must be completely dead to your self and alive only in Christ.  Then He will pour you out to be His hands and feet in the earth.  his heart will beat within you to reach those He is reaching out to.  This can not be done if there is any of you left.  You must die to yourself, allow Him to break you.  Then His heart will reach out through your heart because your heart will be one with His, by the power of the Holy Spirit to do as Jesus said in John 14:12-14,  "He will do even greater things than these , because I am going to the Father.  And I will do whatever you ask in My Name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father.  You may ask Me for anything in My Name and I will do it."
