Word for the Day May 21
By: Evang. Cascille
"The Lord replied, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."
Ex. 33:14
True
rest is found only in the Lord. It is the kind of rest that you abide in no matter what the circumstances are.
It is the deep peace that dwells in your spirit that never departs from you, regardless of your circumstances. Those
who belong to the Lord, know this indescribable, supernatural rest. It allows you to walk in the fires and trials and
not be burned or even smell of smoke. Others can see God's rest on you regardless of your circumstances and it brings
Him glory. For people can see, if they can remain in peace under that much pressure, there is hope for their circumstances,
if they remain faithful to the Lord.
Moses had asked the Lord who He would send with him to lead the people. He asked Him to teach
him His ways. God's reply was deeper and broader than the questions Moses asked. He answered, "The Lord replied, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you
rest." Ex. 33:14 His answer encompassed that no matter what Moses faced, He did not need to fear anything,
for God would go with him and give him rest in whatever he faced. He did not say Moses would face nothing. He
wanted him to know the depth of His promise of His presence and the gift of His rest.
If you are abiding
in the Lord know that God is with you regardless of your outward circumstances. He is giving you His peace that will
sustain you through anything. The trials Moses faced in the wilderness were not easy, but God never went back on His
Word. He was faithful. He is there and He will give you rest if you trust Him.
If you are not trusting Him today,
stop and submit your life to Him. Let Him lead you and guide you. Many things that people worry about are not
the things that concern God. He is concerned if you trust Him. He wants to be with you in your trouble, that He
may get glory out of your deliverance. He wants to give you His supernatural rest to endure it. Without Him, you
will not. Ask Him right now to give you His presence and rest. Ask Jesus, your shepherd, into your heart. Submit
everything to Him. You are His sheep, if you repent from sin and ask Him to be your Savior. He is faithful
and He will keep you every day of your life no matter what you face.
