Word for the Day May 26
By: Evangelist

"Remember
Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, for which I am suffering even to the point
of being chained like a criminal. But God's Word is not chained. Therefore I endure everything for the sake of
the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory. Here is a trustworthy
saying: "If we died with Him, will will also live with Him; if we endure, we will also reign with Him..."
2 Tim. 2:8-11
We who Christ Jesus has called will suffer in our bodies as
He did if we are to reign with Him in glory. Phil. 1:28,29, "without being frightened in any way by those who oppose
you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved-and that by God. For it has
been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer fro Him." Count it all joy
in your sufferings as you bear the name of Christ. Do not judge another brother or sister as they are undergoing intense
suffering. God does not need your judgement of them neither do they, for you can be sure if you bear the Name of King
Jesus that you are NEXT. Pray for them because if you are in Christ you will suffer here on earth if you are to REIGN
WITH HIM IN GLORY. Your trial is right around the corner if you are not already in one. He is GOING to test your
faith to see if it is real and not counterfeit. It is easy to say you have faith but what do you DO in the hour of trial?
Are you trusting man or God. The fire will reveal it clearly.
We are
to be transformed into His likeness. Isiaiah 53:2-5, "He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, and like a root
out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to Him, nothing in His appearance that we should desire
Him. He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men
hide their faces He was despised, and we esteemed Him not. Surely He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet
we considered Him stricken by God, smitten by Him, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was
crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed."
1 John 2:6, "Whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Jesus did." Does your life
resemble His? Remember Jesus' Words in John 15:18, "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated Me first.
If you belonged to the world, it would love you as it's own. As it is, you do not belong to the world but I have chosen
you out of the world. That is why the world hates you." If this is not the case you must test yourself to
see if you are truly in the faith. Be sure of this, "For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already
laid, which is Christ Jesus. If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw,
his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the
fire will test the quality of each man's work. If what He has built survives, he will receive his reward. If it
is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames." 1 Cor.
3:11-15
