Word for the Day October

"For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness
of God." James 1:20
In James 1:20, we learn that you can not please
God by being angry. Proverbs 29:11 teaches, "A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself
under control." Bring yourself under control and surrender to the Holy Spirit if you are angry, before any
words come out of your mouth or even any thought is harbored in your heart that would displease God. Proverbs 15:1 teaches
us, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." It is not your place to fight your
own battles. Even if you have been greatly wronged, the Lord says for all such circumstances in Hebrews 10:30,31
"It is mine to avenge; I will repay, and again, 'The Lord will judge His people.' It is a dreadful thing to fall
into the hands of the living God." And again in Romans instructions are
given. Romans 12:14 says, "Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse." Romans 12:17-21 explains
it, "Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If
it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave
room for God's wrath, for it is written, 'It is mine to avenge; I will repay,' says the Lord. On the contrary:
'If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning
coals on his head.' Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good." The Lord hears all
of your conversation. Every word will be accounted for unto Him on the last day at judgement. In Mt. 12:36
Jesus warned, "But I tell you that men will have to give account for every careless word they have spoken. For
by your words you will be acquitted and by your words you will be condemned." Do not harbor bitterness in
your heart. 1 Cor. 4:5 says, "...He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives
of men's hearts..." Hebrews 4:13 declares, "Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight.
Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account." If you do not believe
the Lord hears every word you utter, consider Malachi 3:16, "Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and
the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in His presence concerning those who feared the Lord
and honored His name."
