Word for the Day October

"Man is like a breath; his days are like a
fleeting shadow." Psalm 144:4 James 4:14 says, "Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist
that appears for a little while and then vanishes." We are not here for long and while we are, we are to "live
a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." Eph.
5:2 We are to appreciate and love others while we are here. Some people do not appreciate others because
they do not first appreciate the Lord. You must first appreciate Him and His love for you before you can appreciate
anyone else. When you live in thankful and appreciation to Him, He pours His love into your heart and you love
and appreciate others with this same love He has given you. Jesus said in John 13:34, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must
love one another." "Love never ends." 1 Cor. 13:8 When our spirits go into eternity, we will
remember all of the times we withheld love while we were here and we will never have a chance to go back and do it over.
Love is eternal. Love is the most important thing. 2 Cor. 2:15 says, "For we are to God the aroma of Christ
among those who are being saved and those who are perishing." We are to pour out His love into the hearts of others while
we are here. If others do not appreciate
you in return, that is okay, love them anyway. When Jesus was asked how to inherit eternal life, He answered, "Love
the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and, ‘Love
your neighbor as yourself."
Appreciate those God has placed in your life. You will not always have the chance to show them
that you love them. The consequences are eternal.
