Word for the Day November 27

"See, I have engraved you on the palms of My hands; your walls are ever before Me."
Isaiah 49:16
Who
does God say that you are? It is important to remember what He says about His children is eternal. In Isaiah 54:11,12
He promises, "I will build you with stones of turquoise, your foundations with sapphires. I will make your
battlements of rubies, your gates of sparkling jewels and all your walls of precious stones." It does not matter
what people say, they are all passing away. What He says is eternal. In Revelation 3:12 Jesus promises, "Him
who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of
my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also
write on him my new name."
Some
people accused Jesus, the One through whom all things are made, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, of having a demon because
He was showing them His power to heal them. Others called Him a winebibber. It does not matter today what they
said. Where are they now? He reigns in glory for eternity.
Herod was so foolish that when Jesus stood before him, he made fun
of Him and asked Him to do magic tricks for him. Jesus never uttered a word to him in response. He was not worth
a word spoken. Where is Herod today? Jesus reigns forever and ever. Herod had John the Baptist's head cut
off. Jesus said of John the Baptist there was no greater born among women than he. Consider the outcome for Herod.
Where is he today? Where is John the Baptist right now and forever? John the Baptist is in glory forever
and ever unending. It is eternal. We are in our bodies for a short time, but our spirits will live eternally in
glory with the Lord or in the fire of hell.
If
a diamond is thrown in the depths of the sea or remains under a trash heap, it does not cease to be a diamond. God creates
His own as diamonds. Diamonds are made by pressure and high temperatures and are among the hardest of all material.
Diamonds are even found in some of the stars in the universe. After He forms us by our relying on Him in all pressure
and unbearable temperatures, then He cuts us to reflect the light of His glory with all brilliance for the world to see.
You are His precious stone. What if Jesus had become offended when they said He had a demon, when He only desired to
love and help them. He knew who He was and was not moved by their words. He pitied the souls who were hardened
and chose death instead of life eternally in Him.
Remember who you are. 2 Corinthians 4:17 says, "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving
for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all." If you feel you are in the depths of the mud, it does not
change the fact that you are His precious jewel that will reign with Him in glory forever. Let Him wash you with the
pure water of His Word and run His Rivers of Living Water over you without ending. Remember you a child of the King.
Remember what He says about you is what is truth. He says, "no weapon formed against you will prosper and you will
refute every tongue that accuses you." Isaiah 54:17 He says in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans
I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
A precious stone
should be put under a locked glass, set with guards around it and honored for it's rarity and exquisite beauty. If you
have felt other's have thrown you in the mud and discarded you instead of appreciating who you are, remember they did the
same to Jesus. They pulled His beard out with their hands and beat him until He was unrecognizable. Where are
they today? Where is He? He is reigning in all power and glory forever. You too will reign with Him and
worship Him day and night if you overcome. Remember who He says you are, Isaiah 43:4, "Since you are precious
and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give men in exchange for you, and people in exchange for your life."
This is eternal.
