"If we are faithless, He will remain faithful, for
He cannot disown Himself." 2 Tim. 2:13
Both the promises of Jesus and the warnings will be carried out. The Lord's faithfulness is a
comfort to those whose hearts are loyal to Him. Hebrews 10:23 says, "Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess,
for He who promised is faithful." God gives everyone a right to roam and to their own detriment. The
Lord warns the disobedient. God must remain faithful to His Word. "What He opens no one can shut and what
He shuts no one can open." Rev. 3:7 David proclaimed in 2 Sam. 7:28, "O Sovereign Lord, you are God!
Your words are trustworthy..."
Let us walk in faith,
onward and upward in Christ Jesus. Hebrews 5:13,14 explains, "Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant,
is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have
trained themselves to distinguish good from evil." God's will is that we attain maturity in Him, lacking nothing.
Ephesians 4:11-13 explains, "It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and
some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up
until we all reach unity in faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure
of the fullness of Christ." Our decision to live in obedience and faithfulness to God or not, will have
no bearing on God's faithfulness. He will perform His Word. This is a comfort to the obedient and a warning to
those who depart from Him.
