Word for the Day December 20

"My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united
in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God,
namely, Christ" Colossians 2:2
Everything becomes possible when we love. 1 Peter 4:8 says, "Above all, love each other deeply,
because love covers over a multitude of sins." We are enabled to do so much when we love the Lord and love
our neighbor. Jesus said that is the sum of all of the commandments. When we love Christ and listen to His Words,
He pours His love into our hearts and we then can do all things through Him who strengthens us.
Go to prayer before the Father. His loving heart will give you His light and warm your heart.
Unite your heart with His, that you can do His will of giving His love to others. There is no circumstance
too great, no pain too deep and no wound too grievous that His love can not overcome it. When we believe that He loves
us, we trust Him to do His will through us and also to care for our every need.
Remember how much He loves you today. Romans 5:8 says,
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." 1 John
3:1 declares, "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that
is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him."
Ephesians 3:14-19, "For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in
heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his
Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established
in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,
and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."
