"Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; He rises to show you compassion. For the LORD
is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him!"
Isaiah 30:18
In praying, many times we are occupied with ourselves and our own
efforts and needs. God wants to fill us with Himself. We should come before Him, then wait upon Him. In
waiting upon Him, our first thought should be of Him. Before you pray, humble yourself in His presence. Remember
who He is, how close He is to you and how definitely He will will help you. We are not forsaken orphans, we are His
children, deeply loved by Him. Bow quietly and be still before Him and wait in confidence, expectation and complete
dependence, remembering you are His child who He loves deeply. Wait in that place before Him until you know you
have met Him; then your prayer will be different. While you are praying and presenting your requests to Him, let there
be intervals of silence and reverent stillness while you are yielded to Him, so He may teach you and His Holy Spirit
work in you.
