Word for the Day February 28 Thursday
By: Evang.

"Do not be afraid; keep on speaking,
do not be silent. For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this
city." Acts 18:9,10
It is impossible to operate in faith with fear in your
heart. Even the apostle Paul, who wrote more than half of the new testament had times where he was gripped by fear.
Opposition and hatred by people you are trying to help is a force that the enemy uses to discourage the child of God.
It can plant seeds of doubt in your heart and try to make you keep silent and thus stop the will of God in your life.
These feelings occur in the hearts of all of the Lord's faithful servants. Even Elijah (1 Kings 19:4) and Jeremiah
(Jer. 15:15) underwent these times of intense fear in their hearts. God will minister to his faithful servants in such
times. Our human nature makes us grow weary, but the Spirit of the Lord is so much stronger and will rise in our hearts
and overcome these feelings. The Lord promised in Acts 18:10 that His presence is with us in such times. His presence
gives us assurance and peace to continue to follow Him and accomplish His will in our lives. After the Lord Jesus spoke
to Paul in a vision with these words in Acts 18:9,10, he stayed for another year and a half, teaching the Word of God.
Who are you going to believe? The lies of fear the enemy speaks to your mind and heart, or the promises of God in His
word for you, who will never, ever fail you! Trust Him today to accomplish His will in your life.
Consider this:
"Our places will be empty soon. Cheer the aged, console the desponding, help the poor, for they
will soon be beyond your reach." - Charles Spurgeon
What good was left undone yesterday because of your being consumed
by your own fear? Put that out today and trust God, following His will for you and the work He has for you to do here,
that when you stand before Him nothing will have been left undone that He gave you to do.
