Word for the Day March 17 Monday

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and
supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Phil. 4:6,7
In 2
Chron. 31:2, Hezekiah appointed priests and Levites to offer burnt offerings, to serve, to give thanks and to praise
in the gates of the camp of the Lord. Giving thanks to God is so important that priests were appointed just for this.
God expects our thanksgiving. A proud heart has no thanksgiving toward God but humility creates a thankful heart.
James 4:6 tells us God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.
Are you thankful to the Lord right
now? 1 Thes. 5:18 tells us to be prayerful in all things and Phil. 4:6 tells us not to worry about anything. John
tells us in Rev. 4:11 we will praise the Lord for all eternity. Regardless of what your circumstances appear to be,
are you praising Him today from your heart? Thank Him for the answers to your prayers you have not received yet.
Thank Him for the unmerited blessings He has poured onto you in your past. Thank Him because He is holy and because
He alone is God. Do not let another moment go by without lifting your heart to Him in thanksgiving. He alone is
worthy of all of your praise. He loves you as no other. Thank Him and praise Him from your heart right now.
"But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own specail people, that you may proclaim the
praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light." 1 Peter 2:9
