"For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power."
1 Cor. 4:20
Just a touch from God will change a person forever. God reveals Himself
in power. The power of the Holy Spirit must be manifested in the lives of believers in order to be effective in reaching
those who God is reaching out to. Jesus said in Acts 1:8, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes
on you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth."
No one will receive the power of the Holy Spirit without holiness. In order to be a vessel to be used by the Holy Spirit,
a life of consecration to Christ's holiness is required. If this is not done, it is obvious. Jesus said in
Mark 4:22, "For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into
the open." People do not need well articulated and entertaining words. Everyone needs a touch
from God Himself in order to be changed, delivered, saved and set free and brought into His glorious kingdom. Only a
touch from God Himself will snatch a person from the grip of darkness and hell and bring them into the embrace of His
holy love. Too many are looking to men and their personalities and the systems they have created instead of seeking
God for their deliverance. Men are creating elaborate systems for them to look to which are only a snare
to them. 2 Ti. 3:1-9 describes Godlessness in the last days. These verses describe the collapse of moral
standards and multiplying of false believers and churches within God's kingdom. Verse 5 describes them as "having
a form of godliness but denying His power. Have nothing to do with them."
Paul said in 1 Cor. 2:4, "My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration
of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power."
