Word for the Day April 4 Friday

"When the Lord God saw the extent of human wickedness
and that the trend and direction of men's lives were only towards evil, He was sorry He had made them. It broke
His heart. But Noah was a pleasure to the Lord." Gen. 6:5,6 & 8 (The Living Bible)
Jesus said in Mat. 24:12, "Because of the increase of
wickedness, the love of most will grow cold." All believers can feel this happening in the world today. Each
day we are one day closer to Christ's return. Jesus said Mt. 24:12 to describe the signs of the end of the
age. He describes a world like the one we live in today characterized by immorality, rebellion against God, adultery,
drugs, lust, ungodly music, pornography and sexual perversion. He details the signs of the end times so we may
know His return is near. He said in Mat. 24:37-39 "As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming
of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage,
up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away.
That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man." He lets us know the spirit of revelry will prevail
until the end. But we are to never take part in the dissipation of flood of filth the earth is sinking deeper into each
day. We are not to be surprised when we see the love growing cold in those around us. We are to abide in the Lord
Jesus (John 15), keeping our eyes on Him waiting for His return for us. God's Word has not changed and will never
change. Jesus instructs us, "Therefore, keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come."
Mt. 24:42
